Contact Routes for Mobile County Release Records

This is a private reference site, not a sheriff's office, jail desk, court clerk, corrections department, or supervision office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody or released, obtain official records for you, post bond, schedule visitation, or change a government record.

Where to Ask for the Record

Use the office that matches the custody path. Have the person's full name, date of birth if known, booking date, booking number, charge, case number, facility, and approximate release date ready before calling or submitting a request.

Common Mobile County Lookup Paths

Different systems answer different questions, so the right route depends on whether the person left county jail, state custody, supervision, federal custody, immigration custody, or a court case.

  • For a released Mobile County jail detainee or a release record, start with the home page search and records guide, then use MCSO records if the public roster no longer shows the person.
  • For parole, probation, mandatory supervision, or local supervision questions, use Post-Release Supervision and the ABPP Mobile Field Office.
  • For recent jail activity, use 24-Hour Releases with the MCSO booking feed distinction in mind.
  • For a state-prison release date or custody alert, use Release Date Lookup, VINE Inmate Check, ADOC, and Alabama Victim Notification.
  • For a specific location, use the facility pages in the footer, including Mobile County Metro Jail, the Metro Barracks, ADOC community custody, courts, federal custody, ICE, and registry paths.
  • For a sentenced Alabama state prisoner, use ADOC Inmate Search and ADOC public records rather than the county jail roster.
  • For a federal or immigration custody question, use the BOP locator or ICE detainee locator when those systems match the facts.

VINE and Alabama Victim Notification

VINELink Alabama is the public custody-status and notification entry point for participating systems. Alabama's Victim Notification System lists Victims@AlabamaAG.gov and 800-626-7676 for help, and Alabama sheriff victim-notification materials identify AlaVINE at 877-846-3425. VINE is useful for alerts and status checks, but it is not a full historical release-record archive.
